Saga Pharmaceuticals FZ LLC is a venture established for driving the Generic Pharmaceutical Industry in United Arab Emirates, the GCC and other Middle East Countries primarily through licensing of Generic drugs from regulated markets.

Despite a rapid expansion in the availability of Generic drugs globally, Middle East still relies mostly on branded drugs from major pharmaceutical companies, which are more expensive and have a constrained availability due to single source supplies. Saga Pharmaceuticals intends to create a supply chain of products from various drug segments which would be registered in various countries in the Middle East. These drugs would be sourced from leading Generic Pharmaceutical companies from around the world through various supply contracts. The prime focus would be given to product segments which are highly in demand in the Middle East.

The Generic drugs sourced by Saga Pharmaceuticals will in turn be distributed by Saga Pharmaceuticals through its own warehouses, which will be established in all the Middle Eastern countries. The drugs will be registered under the name of Saga Pharmaceuticals and will then be distributed to major pharmaceutical companies, distributors and other healthcare avenues. Every country will have a sales office which will be in direct contact with clients.

Saga Pharmaceuticals would also like to give the opportunity to some of the existing Middle Eastern Pharmaceutical companies to sell their products to other markets. With a movement of the pharma companies in Middle East towards Common Technical Dossiers of their products, this will relatively make the drug product files technically approvable in highly regulated markets such as United States and Europe.

In addition to licensing and distribution, Saga Pharmaceuticals is initiating manufacturing assets and capabilities for Generic products. The company would look at manufacturing and stocking Generic products entirely in the Middle East for the Middle East.
