The Eppendorf AG was founded in Hamburg / Germany in 1945. The main activity of Eppendorf is to develop, produce and market high quality innovative laboratory equipments and consumables which are used in the life science and medical laboratories worldwide.
Eppendorf developed the very first automatic pipette back in 1958. This pipette was the milestone for the implementation of the microliter system. The renowned Eppendorf micro test tubes (eppi) and the micro centrifuges are some of the components of this system. These products became indispensable in both medical and life science research labs.
Today, the product portfolio extends from manual and electronic pipettes, dispensers and the related consumables to centrifuges and mixers. In the field of DNA technology, Eppendorf offers a series of innovative products, such as the Mastercycler for the (PCR) amplification of DNA, Biophotometers for quantitative determination of DNA as well as smart consumables.
The micromanipulators and microinjectors form a no less interesting product group. These highly precise products are used for the injection of various substances or biological materials into living cells as well as for artificial insemination in the in-vitro-fertilization labs.
Eppendorf employs around 2600 employees world-wide; 20 Eppendorf regional marketing and sales companies support more than 150 distributors on all five continents.
Eppendorf Middle East FZ-LLC was established in 2006 at DuBiotech and is responsible for a geographical area stretching between Morocco and Iran, Turkey and South Africa. We support our partners in the Middle East and Africa in all their marketing, sales and application issues.
