DuBiotech SME Builder

This event provides the ideal environment for owners of small and medium enterprises to upgrade business management skills and widen contacts within their specific business segment for greater synergy.

The DuBiotech SME Builder is a tri annual workshop providing cutting-edge solutions to crucial issues faced by Small to Medium Business owners by leading industry experts and specialists.  In addition to SME owners, membership to the DuBiotech SME Builder is even open to those considering the prospect of launching their own business, enabling them to tap into the large knowledge base of its members. Prospective business owners also stand to gain considerable information from interacting with peers from the industry sectors targeted by them.

TECOM CEO Network

The TECOM CEO Network is the first of a series of initiatives organized by TECOM to serve over 4,500 companies based in TECOM Business Parks that span multiple industries including information and communication technology (ICT), media, education,sciences and manufacturing & logistics . The initiative complements TECOM’s value-added services to business partners that distinguish it from other free zones in the region.

The event is an influential gathering of CEOs and Proprietors of companies based in TECOM Business Parks.  Besides facilitating networking among key decision makers, the event will also serve as a platform for exploring new business opportunities and emerging synergies occurring within the business arena.

Regulatory Affairs activities at DuBiotech level

Regulation workshop with Ministry of Health

In May 2010, DuBiotech worked with the Ministry of Health to host a workshop exclusively for DuBiotech business partners on the medical regulatory environment in the UAE.

The workshop held at the DuBiotech Laboratory building was led by His Excellency Dr. Amin Al Amiri, CEO, Medical Practice and Licences, UAE Ministry of Health, who briefed DuBiotech business partners on the regulatory framework in the UAE as well as the challenges to the industry's growth. His Excellency Dr. Al Amiri said, "The workshop served as a crucial platform to critically examine the medical sector in the UAE. The Ministry of Health is committed to supporting government and private sector organizations in developing the region's industry. DuBiotech's initiative with the ministry has been significant as it helped bring better synergy in teamwork and alliance, paving the way for future collaborations."

The DuBiotech Leadership Forum 2010

The forum, titled ‘Cross Cultural Leadership – From a Middle Eastern Perspective’, was a half-day forum held concurrently with the third Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Middle East (PABME) conference.

Hosted by DuBiotech and organized by Vision Executive Search, the inaugural forum engaged approximately 40 CEOs, senior managers and HR leaders from relevant industries including bioscience, pharmaceuticals, medical and other life science related organisations. It provided an opportunity for regional heads in the life sciences industry to engage with experts in their field, providingand provided a unique insight on how to harness the benefit of a cross cultural workforce.
